Giving
All the activities of the church are funded by the giving of its members.
Neither the Church of England, nor the government provide financial support. In fact we subsidise the Church of England by paying what is called our "Parish Share".
We do not ask visitors for money. However, we are not afraid to point out that the level of activity we are able to undertake depends entirely on the financial and practical gifts we receive from our members.
Why give?
The Bible sets out some principles on giving which all of us should follow as we manage our own finances and time. Giving regularly and proportionately to "the Lord's work" is something we should all do.
The easiest way to give regularly
In answer to a question asked at a PCC meeting, the easiest way to give regularly to St Peter’s is to set up a standing order with your bank, through your internet banking app or online. Make the payment to:
Parochial Church Council St Peters Loudwater
A/c number: 70701513
Sort code: 20-40-71
Barclays Bank, Maidenhead Branch
Add your name as a reference and e-mail Ray Douglas (ray@loudwater.org), or Heather Flood (heatherf@loudwater.org) so that they can check that the money is received. If you want to split your giving between the general fund and specific missionaries, let Ray or Heather know in the email.
Finally, if you pay income tax, you can gift aid your donations so that HMRC will add 25% to the value of your gift each month - there's a form you can download below. Please return any completed forms to heatherf@loudwater.org
