Lighthouse Loudwater needs you!!
Lighthouse is a 4 day holiday club running from Monday 18th - Thursday 21st August 2025. This is our 4th year running Lighthouse Loudwater, and we are thrilled to be back at Loudwater Combined school once again. We feel so blessed to already have so many volunteers but there are a few roles that still need filling. Could you help by volunteering for a few hours each day or maybe one day in the week? Check out the different roles below!
Shop - Our shop team are the first and last friendly faces you see when arriving and leaving lighthouse. Your job will be to set up the shop in the mornings, laying out all of the stock. Taking payments from parents, and clearing down the shop at the end of the day. The shop is only open from 9:30 - 10:30 and 15:15-16:00. Team are asked to arrive 30 mins before and stay 30 mins after the opening times. You could choose to serve both slots or just mornings or afternoons.
Registration - Our registration team play a vital role at Lighthouse. They are responsible for checking in all of our team and children each day and deregistering them at the end of the day. Your role will be to assist our admin lead in collecting tickets, issuing replacement badges, distributing registers and helping guide parents at pick up and collection times. This role can either be all day or alternatively you could serve for mornings or afternoons only. Morning hours, 9:15 - 11. Afternoon hours, 15:00 - 16:00
First Aid - Are you a qualified first aider? We need a designated first aider in our first aid room every day from 9:15 - 16:00. Could you serve for one of the days of lighthouse? Mon and tuesday mornings are already filled.
Photographer - At Lighthouse we have a tradition of watching a highlights reel of the day in our mainstage sessions. Kids love to try and spot themselves in the daily photo slideshow! Do you have a passion for photography and want to come and serve on team?
Site team - Our site team help to keep everyone happy and things running smoothly! It's hard to say what the site's team role is as it's often different everyday, which makes it super interesting! You'll work closely with our chair of trustees to help iron out any maintenance problems, move resources and furniture if required, litterpick and much more! If this sounds like a role you'd enjoy then we'd welcome your application! Site team are on site from 9:15 - 16:00
Sports team - Do you have a passion for sport and getting kids engaged in it? Our sports team has some amazing leaders but they need some help to make our sports sessions the most amount of fun! This role could even be suited to any teenagers that would like to serve at lighthouse. Sports team serve from 9:15 - 16:00.
Quiet room - Sometimes all the noise and fun of lighthouse can get overwhelming for some of the children at Lighthouse. That's where our quiet room comes in! A safe place to help children transition or take some time out. You'd be joining an experienced team of volunteers who do a wonderful job of nurturing children who need a gentle calm presence. Quiet room team are onsite from 9:15 - 16:00
